Tagung der Association
Internationale Interactions de la Psychanalyse/ International Association Interactions
of Psychoanalysis »PROTEST, DISPUTE, CONSTRUCT.«
Sharing a regulation of life in common implies a harmony which is not
obvious, it requires agreements which are often difficult to find and to carry
out, and must always be renewed. On the contrary, when people are forced to
accept an order, it produces a reaction of disorder in form of protest which
can soon become a revolt. At the same time this entails temporarily a barren
and destructive freezing and loss of confidence in the virtues of dialogue.
Psychoanalysis proposes a dynamic approach of this Situation, which society
experiences in larger or smaller groups, at an interpersonal level in family
and couple. The challenge of a Situation which the protagonists do not find
suitable any more will be confronted with the possibility to construct a »mobile
order«.
Communications will be held in French or English, translation will be
projected simultaneously on a screen, discussions will be held in English.
Co-chaired by Sophie de Mijolla-Mellor (France) and Harold Blum (USA).
The International Association Interactions of Psychoanalysis (A2IP), together
with the French, German and Portuguese Associations members of the European
Network »Psychoanalysis and Society«, the American College of Psychoanalysts,
sponsored by the Mahler Foundation and the Psychoanalytic Research and
Development Fund, present in 2017 a bilingual international scientific meeting
organized in Avignon with Brigitte Demeure.
