Zusammenfassung:
Die Intimisierung der medienvermittelten öffentlichen Kommunikation
manifestiert sich vorab in Personalisierungen und
Emotionalisierungen. Dies verleiht sedimentierten Klischees
an erfahrungsgesättigte gemeinschaftliche Vertrauensbeziehungen
oder an professionelle therapeutische Settings vertraulicher
Interaktion gebunden ist. Allein schon aufgrund dieses
Kategorienfehlers verliert die öffentliche Kommunikation durch die
Intimisierung an Rationalitätsgehalt.

Abstract:
The intimisation of the communication in the public sphere as
interpreted by mass media mostly manifests itself in
personalisation and emotionalisation. Thus, the media place great
importance on sedimented stereotypes/clichés of psychological
heuristics, which leads, among other things, to as quasi-therapy
conceived shows and contributions. This variety of pseudo-analyses,
however, is increasingly supplemented by contributions based on
esoteric believes. At the same time, a drifting of the range of
topics in the media agendas towards morally and emotionally charged
contents are witnessed, wherein the flooding of the public sphere
with human interest of VIPs of all kinds, as well as the direct and
indirect self-marketing in talk shows, reality shows and in the
Social Web are of utmost importance. The constant focus of public
interest on subjective motives, emotions and characteristics
illustrates a triumphal course that had been launched in the 1950s
by the rising of the tabloids, accelerated by the 1968 movement
and, ever since the economisation of the media in the 1980s, has
been holding its way. This first paragraph explores the causes of
the intimisation of the public sphere. In the second paragraph the
major interest lies in the issue of the (high) prize for such a
strong focus on the private in the public sphere, because the
unravelling of subjective inwardness is linked to the contrary of
communication in the public sphere, e. g. to conjoint and through
long experience on confidence based personal relations or
interactions in professional therapeutic settings. On the one hand,
communication in the public sphere suffers a substantial loss of
rationality because of this, on the other hand because the other
two fields of human behavior, the dealing with the objective world
of facts and with the social world of norms, ethical standards,
institutions and societal roles, are superimposed and replaced by
the intensified personalisation and emotionalisation.
